You cannot inspire unless you’re inspired yourself!

The Toastmasters community offers a great opportunity for networking. It’s the realm where you can listen to inspiring stories, meet the speakers and improve together with them; aiming to confidently communicate your thoughts and experiences to the public.
That is what you get from our meetings and last night was no different. A very special THANK YOU goes to Cristelle, for covering so many roles: representing our president Tom, Toastmasters of the evening and Sergeant at Arms. You did an amazing job!

We also had an outrageous set of Predictions for 2018 at Table Topics and the winner was Louise. Hugh won the best evaluator and Ian won the best speech with his travelling storytelling.

Thanks everyone for attending the meeting, and we hope to see you all at our next meeting on the 6th March where we will be talking about pathways.
Toastmaster is changing,  very exciting times! More information coming soon.

And the winners are….

Definitely, a night to remember! Our international speech contest and evaluation contest took place last night and it was excellent, CONGRATULATIONS to all participants!

And our event couldn’t be as successful without everyone’s help. A HUGE thank you to Saloomeh, ou contest chair, Brad our chief judge, Tim our sergeant at arms and Shane and Shahbaz our timekeepers for the evening. Thanks also to the judges and our mystery speaker Harry.

We had 5 outstanding speakers on the international speech contest, and the winner was Ada with her speech titled ‘Meeting the Irish granny’. We had also 4 great speakers on the evaluation contest and the winner was Tom. Both will represent our club at the area level in March, and we will be there to support them!

You all made our club very proud! Well done everyone!
