Monthly Archives: January 2018

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” Nelson Mandela!

And we close January on a very positive note…as always! Thanks everyone for attending our meeting last night.

Well done to Bernard, one of our newest members, for winning Table Topics; to our president Tom for winning best evaluation; and BIG congratulations to Ada for winning best speech, with her speech titled ‘Alcohol- my friend or foe?’.

We see you all at our club contest ‘International Speech and Evaluation’ which is happening on 6th February!

And remember…in order to achieve greatness, to become a better communicator and to improve our public speaking skills…EVERY MEETING counts

Happy New Year Fellow Toastmasters

Nothing better than having a welcoming and inspiring meeting like we did last night! Dark and cold January cannot stop us 🙂

As always, our president Tom made sure that we started and finished our meetings in a very positive and encouraging note.

And talking about bravery, well done to Michael, who did a great job as Toastmaster of the evening for the very first time, and to Suzy, our newest member, who rocked as timekeeper too!

We also had great engagement with members and guests during TT, and the winner was Rachel.

Sue delivered a brilliant speech- number 4 -titled ‘Give it up’ and finally, best evaluator of the evening went to Ryan.

We cannot wait to see you all at our next meeting on the 30th.
